I was shoked, and dissapointed by the lack of upsets this year. I miss a George Mason making a run for the title, I missed a 12 seed beating a 4 seed.
With a final four of two #1 and two #2 I feel the Tournament let us down in some way and without an underdog or a team I like left in the tournament I find myself not wanting to watch the final three games.
Am I alone, or are there others who feel the same?
Everyone always pulls for the underdog. But I feel this year we are going to get a true national champion. Any one of these 4 teams are worthy. All 4 are Conference Champs. While pulling for the George Masons of the world is fun and entertaining, they aren't representing the best of college basketball.
Then again to make it to the Final Four don't you have to be the best team, true, upsets happen, and a team could have an off night but a loss is a loss, a 13 seed might not be the best team during the regular season but the regular season only matters to get to the tournament, and in the tounament if they win the games to get to the Final Four they are a great team, if only for a 4-6 game span.

Not really. I don't think too many people would consider George Mason one of the 4 best teams last year, regardless of making it to the final 4.
i'm there with you as far as the lack of upsets. i would've liked to see a couple of 14 over 3's, or even the old standby 12 over 5. many years ago, i remember #15 Richmond beating #2 Syracuse. one of these days, a #16 will take down a #1. i think the closest #16/#1 game was ETSU vs. Oklahoma in 1988, Calvin Talford's freshmen year. the Bucs were ahead by 18 pts. in the first half, but ended up losing by 1. Oklahoma was led by Stacy King and Mookie Blaylock that year, both future NBA'ers.
as far as all the #1's and #2's in the finals, Cinderella may not be at the dance, but probably the best four teams are. the games should be very good- exciting, evenly matched, and competitive. so, really, i'm not that pissed, and i'm still very interested.
